Anti-Rattle Device Recommendation for Use with a 2 Inch to 1-1/4 Reducer Trailer Hitch Adapter  

Question:

I have an adapter that Im using to convert a 2inch hitch - factory installed - to a 1 1/4inch inch hitch so that I can use it to attach my bike rack to the car. I need something to secure the adapter to the car mounted hitch so that it doesnt rattle. Is there such an animal?

If you just need a locking hitch pin, you can use any pin that is a fit for a 2 inch hitch, like # e98882. If you want anti-rattle capabilities, the shank in the adpater that fits into the 2 inch trailer hitch would have to be hollow to use # 63232.

Another option is to use something like the Quiet Hitch anti-rattle device, # RM-061, which bolts on and holds the accessory still in the receiver.
