Replacement Rubber Bumpers for Reese 5th Wheel Slider Trailer Hitch # RP30051
Question:
I have had an RP30051 Slider for just over 1 year. I have notice the honeycomb shape rubber bumper and an L shaped rubber bumper on the floor of my trucks bed. I see you sell the hoeycomb shape bumper. How about the L bumper or is that something that just happens to be in my truck bed? Also where do these bumpers go on the hitch? Are they easy to install?

It sounds like you are talking about # 58089. But the L shaped one I am not sure of unless it is part of the handle that got caught in the elbow of the handle and formed an L. Like part # 58094.
For the bumpers, on Reese model 5th wheel hitches there are usually 2 bumpers. They can be placed in a couple of different positions. They are used to prevent the the head from contacting the hitch body abruptly which could damage it. Some hitches have additional holes so the bumpers can be moved. If your hitch only has one hole and a bumper in it, then it only requires one.
The bumpers are usually located in the rear most holes (towards the back of the truck) since when coupling, the head is tilted forward. Tilt the head forward and back to determine the hole locations to install them.
