Longer Ramp For Thule EasyFold XT to be Used With Heavy Electric Bike

Question:

Unfortunately Im returning the rack. I have a very heavy ebike and need a rack that will allow for easy upload onto the bike rack as I cannot lift a 65lb bike up 4ft off the ground and set it on the rack. I shopped around-watched numerous videos and decided on the Thure EZ Fold mainly due to the ramp feature. I am gravely disappointed the ramp does not help with upload of a heavy bike as the ramp is extremely short - so short it is almost vertical consequently no help in loading a heavy bike - at best it is a helpful guide if you have a light bike that you can push up the very steep angle of the ramp. Any ideas on a bike rack that sits lower to the ground and has a ramp that works for heavy bikes? Thanks

Before you return your Thule EasyFold XT # TH903202, I recommend checking out the Extra-Long Loading Ramp for Thule EasyFold Carriers # TH933402 which provides you with a 53" long ramp, as opposed to the 36" long ramp that comes included with the EasyFold platform racks. This longer run-way should provide you with a much easier solution for getting your bike up onto the platform of the EasyFold rack.

You could also go with a completely different bike rack altogether; the Kuat NV 2.0 # BA12B and the Access Ramp for Kuat # ANVBRB make a great pair. The Access Ramp is 53-1/2" long and will handle bikes with up to 4-1/2" wide tires.

I've linked a quick video to this answer that shows how this ramp will make loading your bike much easier than the standard ramp that comes with the EasyFold XT.
