Why does front fascia need to be trimmed for installing Drawtite front hitch on 2020 Ford F-250.

The 2" receiver for the Draw-Tite Front Mount Trailer Hitch # 65076 is designed to actually protrude through the lower plastic air deflector/fascia when mounted (see attached image), so a portion of the fascia can be trimmed to allow this. This is a great design because it maintains the existing ground clearance on the truck.
If you don't feel like trimming the fascia though it's also perfectly fine to simply remove the air deflector and keep it off for good after the hitch is in place. This won't have any affect on the truck's integrity.
