Do I Need A Load Resistor With LED Light In Truck Cap That Stays Dimly Lit
Question:
I changed the incandescent bulb out of my leer cap to light it up on the interior. It has worked well for a couple of weeks, but recently noticed they stayed dimly lit even when they are switched off. So I need to add a resistor like the one I read about from Putco and solving blinker issues?

It only takes a small amount of voltage to illuminate an LED light so it is very likely a tiny bit of voltage at the wiring of the light is causing it to dimly illuminate. I do recommend to add a load resistor inline with the signal wire of the light a few inches behind the light, with Diamond LED light Bulb Load Resistor Kit part # DI34ZR.
