Can a Furrion Wireless Backup Camera and Observation System Be Used with GM Infotainment System?
Question:
I read a couple QandAs similar to my question but didnt find a good answer. I have a 2020 GMC Denali with the Infotainment system including a 15 camera system and the invisible trailer feature. My Grand Design RV is pre-wired for the Furrion FOS48TA-BL wireless HS observation system including a monitor. GM sells the Echo Master camera only, p/n 19353510, for $300+. Does Furrion and etrailer sell a Furrion camera only that will integrate with the in-dash screen on my GMC? I tried to attach a picture of Furrion bracket on my RV. Thanks!

I have a solution for you, but GM has made it so that only the IntelliHaul Echo Master cameras are wirelessly compatible with their Infotainment systems and we haven't come across any aftermarket wireless observation system for RVs that can be paired with these sytems.
With that being said, there are some bonuses that come along with using a Furrion system like the # FCE48TASL-05 (5" monitor) which has the rear camera and monitor, as well as side marker light cameras. These side view cameras provide you with a much better view than the Echo Master system, since the EchoMaster system places the side marker lights directly under your side mirrors since the side marker cameras that come with the Furrion system can essentially be placed anywhere along the side of your RV. This provides you with the best view possible during travel. This also allows you to utilize the Furrion system in a similar manner to a security system at your location since the monitor is portable.
This Furrion system will mount to the existing bracket that came on your Grand Design and work with the factory integrated wiring. The Marker Light RV Side Cameras # FCE48TASL can be added separately to the Furrion Vision S systems # FCE48TASL-05 listed above or the one camera starter # FOS05TASF. If you have the # FOS43TASF (4.3" monitor), the side marker light system is not compatible.

I just purchased a 2020 GMC Sierra 3500HD Denali dually but it doesn’t have the Infotainment compatible “Invisible Trailer” feature. I’ll probably buy the 4-camera Furrion package with the separate 7” LCD screen. Great info in this article.
