Recommended Roof Vent for Package Delivery Van
Question:
I have an application for delivery vans where the package area of the vehicle separated from the drivers cab by a door requires ventilation. Ideally I would add this to the roof of the vehicle to exhaust directly thru the ceiling pulling air thru vents located in low in the rear of the vehicle. The volume of the area is about 300 ft3. Want to be able to exchange as much air as possible with the outside but I cant have any water or debris intrusion. Do you have anything like this?

The # HMAV2-AVT2 vent you had looked at is really intended to be mounted to the sidewall of a structure rather than the roof. It's fairly low profile, so it could work in that application, but while the vehicle is standing still, there's a good possibility that you could get some water infiltration during a downpour.
Something like the MaxxAir Mini Trailer Roof Vent, part # MA00-03750 would be a better choice. The vent includes a rain shield that prevents rain from entering as well as a screen that will keep out the bugs and debris. We also offer an installation kit as part # 344270KITW.
Installing one or two of the # HMAV2-AVT2 vents toward the rear of the vehicle along with the roof vent would be a good solution to keep the rear of your van well ventilated.
