Towing Capacity on Gen-Y Replacement Shank

Question:

I have a class a motor home that I pull a enclosed car trailer. The trailer is rated at 10000 lbs gvw. The towing capacity of the motorhome is 10000 lbs. I have a ball mount that had a 2inch rated at 10000 lbs but my problem is I need a bigger probably around 6inch and I need one that is longer to give me more clearance. Can I use this hitch set up with my existing ball mount and still have the same towing capacity?

Not only does the Gen-Y Replacement Shank # 325-GH-303 have the 10,000-lbs capacity (1500-lbs tongue weight) that you're looking for, it will provide you with a 5" rise or drop, depending on how you decide to use it. This hitch will work with your existing ball mount and give you 7-1/8" of clearance from the center of the hitch pin on the shank to the center of the hitch pin for the ball mount.
