We have a few great options for wiring up your 2000 Jeep Cherokee so that it accepts the signal lights from the RV when being towed, and I specifically recommend the Roadmaster Diode Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267. This kit includes everything needed to wire up the Jeep for this purpose as well as diodes to prevent any potentially damaging feedback.

A 6-Way connector is also included that will get mounted to the front of the Jeep, along with enough coiled wiring to go from there to the 7-Way on the RV.

I have attached a sample install video on a new model Jeep Cherokee below so you can get a good idea of how everything gets connected.
