How to Determine if Thule EasyFold Bike Rack Could Clear Rear Spare of Jeep Wrangler
Question:
I have modified Jeep Wranger with larger tires. Will it clear the tire or will I need a hitch extension?

Expert Reply:
From the hitch pin hole of the Thule EasyFold XT # TH903202 to the upright portion of the carrier measures 8 inches. So you'd need to measure from the hitch pin hole of your Wrangler out to the furthest point out on the rear spare and if that distance is more than 8 inches this rack would not clear.
If you need more clearance we have an 8 inch hitch extender with the part # e88YR which would work great most likely, but you have to keep in mind that extenders cut the capacity of the hitch they are installed in by 50 percent.
