Will Weight Distribution System Fix Trailer Sway on 2017 Grand Design Imagine 3150BH
Question:
I have a 2017 F250 4x4 that I use to pull a 2017 Grand Design Imagine 3150BH travel trailer. I have the Blue Ox Sway Pro 1500lb setup. I went through all of the instructions during setup and feel I have it installed correctly. I was on the fence about whether to use the 1000lb or 1500lb setup since this trailer is right on the verge at weight capacity. I am still getting trailer sway with the 1500lb setup. Is it too much for this trailer? Would the 1000lb bars work better? Thank you!

Persistent trailer sway actually does not get fixed with a weight distribution system as a WD system can only minimize sway from passing semi trucks or high winds.
If you are experiencing a sway that starts at a certain speed and basically doesn't stop till you slow down the issue is most likely not enough tongue weight in your trailer. You need 10-15 percent of the total trailer weight as tongue weight and to have the trailer sitting as level as possible for the sway to stop. Sometimes worn out suspension components can be at fault but this is not as likely since your trailer is newer.
If you can move weight in your trailer forward so that you have more tongue weight that should help quite a bit.
