Recommended Trailer Hitch for a 2020 Ford Explorer

I just got a 2020 Ford Explorer and need to install a trailer hitch to tow my trailer. What do you recommend?

The trailer hitch that I recommend for your 2020 Ford Explorer is the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver part # e29YR as this option is a direct bolt-on fit that does not require any drilling for installation.
The trailer wiring harness that I recommend is the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness part # 118599. The T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness is a direct plug and play fit that does not require any cutting or splicing though you do need to run a wire to the battery which is unavoidable. If your trailer has brakes then you are also going to need a 7-way trailer wiring harness and a brake controller. I recommend the 7-Way RV Upgrade Kit for Trailer Brake Controller Installation part # ETBC7L and the Curt Echo Mobile Trailer Brake Controller part # C51180.
This will be the easiest to install option we have for you that requires the least amount of modification to be made. There is no drilling into the dash to mount the brake controller and you don't have to learn how to use a new device as it uses your phone.
