Fifth Wheel Trailer Hitch Installation Kit Recommendation for a 2011 GMC Sierra 2500HD
Question:
Does the frame have to be drilled to use the 30035 universal kit or are the holes already existing on a 2011 GMC 2500 HD to install it\ Thanks

The use of the Reese universal 5th wheel installation kit, # RP30035, does require drilling into the frame for installation. I have included a link to the installation instructions for you to view.
We recommend a custom kit because there is far less drilling involved, you will not need to drill the frame in most cases, the brackets are designed to fit the frame rails on the truck, and the installation time is reduced by as much as 50 percent over the universal kit.
For you truck I recommend the Reese Quick-install custom kit # RP50066-58. I have included a link to the installation details and a link to a video showing a typical installation for you.
