Does Truck Bed Cargo Camera for 2016 Ford F-150 With 8 Inch Screen Work When Not in Reverse
Question:
Factory 8 screen - use of this camera not in reverse? 2016 f150 with 8 inch factory screen. Can this camera system be operational when not in reverse? For example Im hauling cargo in the bed or I want to check on my gooseneck connection while driving, can I turn on the switch for the cargo camera and view the bed in this situation? Or will that only be possible in park or reverse only?

Yes, you can use the Truck Bed Cargo Camera for 8" Factory Monitor - Switch Kit # 3460001 that fits your 2016 Ford F-150 with an 8" factory monitor as an observation camera so you can see your truck bed. What you will need to do is simply wire it to a constant 12 volt power source (most people wire it to their reverse lights) and use the toggle switch to turn the camera on and off so you can view the bed when needed.
I have added a link to a review and install of the Truck Bed Camera # 3460001 for you to check out as well.

Just to make sure... the same process in the video but put constant power to the camera? Aren’t the upfitter switches powered when on? Can you use that power? Another question, is there a kit to use multiple upfitter switches to add a trailer cam and front bumper cam and a combination of two or three switches allows you to select?
