Troubleshooting Hopkins Plug-In Connector Not Working on 2003 Lexus GX 470
Question:
Ordered and installed a HM43374 which plugged directly into both connectors for 2003 Lexus gx470. After the install figured out the connectors were not getting power. Checked some forums and there may be up to 3 special relays needed, but there seems to be a lot of confusion, can you help? Do you have the relays needed? If not can you tell me what I need? I only need the 4 pin for what I am towing Thanks

The Hopkins Plug-In Simple Vehicle Wiring Harness # HM43374 is the correct wiring if your 2003 Lexus GX 470 came with the factory 7-Way and should be used as a replacement. If your vehicle didn't come with the factory 7-Way then the only way that I know how to help you is to offer theModulite Vehicle Wiring Harness Kit # C59236 which comes with just the 4-Way but does require splicing for the installation.
If your GX 470 did come with the factory 7-Way the only other thing I would know to do is check the fuses in positions 7, 9, 11, 42 in your engine compartment and driver's side instrument fuse panel as these are related to trailer towing.
