Best Flat Tow Wiring Harness for a 2010 Honda Fit
Question:
I see that this kit is recommended for a 2010 Honda Fit as well as the RM154 kit. What is the difference and which is the easier install? I am also concerned about the room for the diodes behind the lamp holders. I actually would prefer to install the LED kit into the lamp holders so that the lights would be completely divorced from the cars lighting system but again is there enough room to install? Has anyone else used the LED kit on that style Fit?

In regards to the Tow Ready Tail Light Isolating Diode System part # TR118821 and the Roadmaster Universal Hy-Power Diode Wiring Kit part # RM-154, the Tow Ready kit will be easier to install as more of the wiring connections are already made for you but the Roadmaster kit takes up less space because the diodes are physically smaller. That is really the only difference between them.
In regards to the Roadmaster Tail Light Wiring Kit for Towed Vehicles part # RM-152-LED, there will be space inside the rear taillight housings for this. However, I actually recommend the Hopkins Custom Tail Light Wiring Kit for Towed Vehicles part # HM56302 over all of the above options because it does not require any splicing at all, it's plug and play (see video).
