Oil/Transmission Cooler Installation in GMC Yukon XL
Question:
I would like to add a transmission and engine oil cooler to a 2011 Yukon XL 3.08 rear end with only the basic towing package. 1. What is the difference between the 15902 and 15903? 2. Is there a video that details the install\connection of the oil cooler lines for the 2011 Yukon? Thank you. Regards.

In the two Derale combination oil/transmission fluid cooler kits # D15902 and # D15903 the actual cooler core part is the same, measuring 17" wide x 12-1/2" tall x 3/4" deep, but the difference between the kits is that part # D15903 is a GM-specific kit while the other is a universal kit with more parts to allow it to work in more applications. These extra component parts are the reason for the higher cost. For your Yukon you will use # D15903 along with Snap-In Radiator Adapter # D13035.
I did link for your a video showing transmission cooler installation in a 2003 Yukon XL which should be a useful guide.
