Adjustable 2-Inch Ball Mount to Allow More Clearance for Garaging Boat Trailer
Question:
We are currently using a 2inch ball receiver hitch with 3inch . Driveway has an angle. Trying to lower boat trailer front to get 73 windshield of boat into 7inch garage opening. Can we switch out the hitch to a bigger to get in the garage?

It sounds like you need a ball mount with more than 3-inches of drop to allow your boat's windshield to clear the bottom of your open garage door as you move the trailer inside. If I understand things correctly it is just the combination of the windshield's height and the driveway's angle that are the issue.
I suggest an adjustable 2-inch ball mount. One of these will allow you to lower the ball and therefore also the trailer's tongue when you need to garage the boat and trailer and then bring the ball height back up when you're towing. All such items appear on the linked page. Curt # C45900 (which includes hitch balls), MaxxTow # MT70068 (which does not) or Convert-A- Ball # TK5007 could be just what you need. You'll want to make sure you select a ball mount with the needed weight capacity for your boat/trailer as well as the amount of drop to give you clearance.
