Can a 175/80-13 Tire Be Swapped Out for a 185/80-13 Tire
Question:
Can I use 185 80 13radial tire in its place? It’s kid of late asking I ordered tires and rims this morning.

Expert Reply:
A 185/80-13 tire like part # AM1ST79 is only .7" in diameter and .4" in width larger than a 175/80-13 tire like part # AM1ST77. Therefore, if you have this much additional clearance on top of the 3" between the top of the tire and bottom of the fender and then 1" between the inside of the tire and frame then yes you can use this new size.
