Custom 5th Wheel Installation Kit for 2013 Ram 2500

Question:

I own a 2013 Ram 2500 with the rambox feature. I’m having a hard time locating a custom bracket for a Reese fifth wheel hitch. I’m also ok with having the rails in the bed. Does Reese or any other manufacturer make something like this? I haven’t purchased a fifth wheel hitch yet, but will be buying a sidewinder and fixed hitch because of the RamBoxes. Pin box #1621. I would like to stay with Reese products instead of mixing and matching. Any help would be appreciated Thanks

Since all above-bed 5th wheel rails are standardized I recommend using the lowest price custom kit we offer, which happens to be the Curt kit # C16430-204. This kit has custom brackets that will save you having to drill into the truck's frame. An install video is linked for you. The kit's base rails will work great with your preferred Reese industry-standard fixed 5th wheel hitch. Reese does not offer an above-bed rail kit for your truck.

I recommend the Reese # RP30928. Even if your trailer does not need the hefty 20K rating having extra capacity means less wear and tear on the key components and usually this translates into longer service life between routine maintenance. For an in-bed wiring harness use # 50-97-410.
