Trailer Wiring Harness Recommendation for 2013 Volkswagen Jetta SportWagen
Question:
Got a hitch and wiring harness lady year for my 2005 Hyundai Tucson 2.7. Harness was very easy plug and play. Appears this style is not available for my 2013 VW Jetta Sportwagen. Am I misding something? Would rather not go through the cable taproutine a la U Haul c. 1975....

Not every vehicle has a custom install wiring kit available unfortunately. Typically the vehicles that are more likely to tow will have plug and play install kits and the lighter duty vehicles that don't tow as often will need to use a hardwired option. I do have some good news though. We had the chance to install the Kit part # C59496 on a 2014 Volkswagen Jetta Sportwagen and we shot an install video for it which you can use as a guide to walk you through it step by step.
Also, if you wanted a trailer wiring kit that does not require splicing we have the ZCI universal kit part # 119250KIT which uses sensors instead of splices to connect to the vehicle so no splicing is needed!
