Rail Kit to Allow Use of Gooseneck Hitch Adapter in 1975 Ford F-250 Long Bed Pickup
Question:
Can I install a goose neck hitch below bed? 1975 Ford F250 8 foot bed
asked by: Robert D
Expert Reply:
We do not have any under-bed gooseneck hitches for your 1975 Ford F-250 long bed but we do have a way for you to tow a gooseneck trailer.
You can start with an above-bed 5th wheel rail kit like the Reese Universal 5th wheel install kit # RP30035 that you referenced and to these rails add a gooseneck adapter like Curt Offset Adpater # 16055 which drops right into those base rails. This and other gooseneck adapters for 5th wheel rails appear on the linked page. The various adapters are available with or without offset for the ball which gives you the ability to change the front-to-back ball position relative to the rails.
If you need wiring for the bed too you can use Draw-Tite kit # 20023.
