Troubleshooting Trailer Lighting that Isn't Grounding Through Aluminum Fender
Question:
Son took off fenders and side lights because of a weight issue. Now I am putting them back on. I have no light now. All worked before this. Aluminun fenders were grounded with light before and now. Kids. Enclosed forester 6x12 trail or . Van electric good works. Help!

Since the fender is aluminum and aluminum does not conduct electricity well you are going to need to run a jumper wire from the ground circuit to the main ground harness of the trailer or if the trailer frame is steel you could run it directly there.
