Best Trailer Hitch For Bike Rack on 2014 Mazda CX-5
Question:
I bought the Thule hitching post Pro 4 934PRO off a friend. What hitch would you recommend? I plan to use a 2in receiver. I do not plan on installing it myself.

I recommend the Curt Class III Hitch part # C13315 to carry your Thule Hitching Post Pro part # TH934XTR,
The Curt Hitch provides about 3/4 of an inch more ground clearance than the other Class III hitch options for the Mazda CX-5. The bike rack is less likely to drag the ground in low ground clearance situations such as backing down a hill because it sits up a little higher then the other options.
A lot of customers also like that the Curt Hitch has a concealed cross tube design. Only the hitch receiver portion is visible once installed. I have attached a photo of what the hitch looks like on the Mazda CX-5.
If you purchased the Hitching Post Pro without locks, I recommend part # THSTL2 to lock the bike rack to the hitch. Thule racks are designed to use a threaded hitch bolt specific to their bike racks, so you may not be able to use any other lock. I also recommend the Thule Cable Lock part # TH538XT to lock the bikes to the rack.
I also recommend an Adapter Bar part # 64005 if you are carrying women's or children's bikes. Bikes without a horizontal cross tube cannot provide a mounting point to properly hang on the bike rack. The adapter bar attaches to the bikes seat post and handle bar stem post to create a horizontal mounting point.
