Reese Elite Underbed Pucks and Compatible Curt Hitch For 2019 Chevy Silverado 2500
Question:
RP30868 Use with Curt factory puck 5th wheel hitch We recently purchased a 2019 Silverado 2500HD, unfortunately, without the factory Gooseneck/5th wheel prep package. Will this underbed mounting system allow the use of a curt 16k lb 5th wheel hitch designed for the factory puck mounting system, P/N C16667 or C16668? We are looking for a 5th wheel system that does not have rails above the bed. Any help you can provide would be much appreciated. Thank You

The Reese Under-Bed Rail and Installation Kit for Reese Elite Series 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches # RP30868 is compatible with your 2019 Chevy 2500 to give you the clean look you are seeking.
You can use the 16K Curt sliding hitch with this kit, but you will need either the Curt A16 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Slider for Ford Towing Prep Package # C16520-16020 or the Curt E16 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Slider for Ford Towing Prep Package # C16515-16020. The Elite underbed pucks are positioned in the same location as the Ford Prep Pucks so the Chevy Prep hitches won't fit and you need to instead use the Ford Prep hitches.
In this case it will be a better fit not requiring an adapter. I definitely recommend the A16 over the E16 because of the king pin connection at the jaws. The A16 will surround the king pin for less jarring and chucking where the E16 is just a slide bar latch.
I also recommend adding the Mighty Cord 5th Wheel/Gooseneck Wiring Harness w/ 7-Pole Connector # A10-7007 to add a 7-way to the bed of your truck for easy connection access and a clean look.
