There are a few reasons why you might be getting the n.c. (no trailer connection) message on your Prodigy P2 Brake Controller # 90885.
The first thing I recommend doing is just visually inspecting both the trailer side and vehicle side 7-Way connectors. Check for any debris or corrosion that might be built up around the pins that could be leading to a poor connection, cleaning out as needed.
If everything looks good there then there may be an open circuit on the brake output wire. For this you will want to use a circuit tester like # PTW2993 to try and test the blue wire coming out of the back of the controller. Make sure you are getting power with the manual override activated on the brake controller. If you have voltage there then also do the same thing on the brake output pin at the 7-Way (5 o'clock position). There might just be a pinched or exposed section of wiring that needs to be replaced.
If you still aren't able to resolve the issue please let me know and we can continue to troubleshoot.
