Trailer Hitch for 2012 Subaru Impreza to Allow Use of Thule T2 Pro Bike Rack
Question:
Will Thule T2 pro mount with this hitch on a 2012 Impreza 5dr with single exhaust? With the “flush mount” of this hitch I worry that the T2 pro will have an issue with the pin that is supposed to go into the hole on the right of the receiver.

There are trailer hitches that will allow you to use a Thule T2 Pro on your 2012 Subaru Impreza but the EcoHitch Invisi Trailer Hitch # 306-X7211 is not a good option. The reason for that is this hitch installs inside the bumper and requires you to remove the small knockout panel on the rear of your single-exhaust, 5-door Impreza. Further, this hitch only allows the use of bike racks with stingers/shanks that extend a maximum of 2-3/8" from the center of the hitch pin hole to the end of the stinger/shank.
I highly recommend using the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch # DT24959 for your 2012 Subaru Impreza 5-door Wagon, which sits below the bumper and will allow you to use the Thule T2 Pro XTR # TH23JV.
This is a Class I hitch with a 1-1/4 inch receiver and both of the T2 Pro bike racks which I linked above are compatible with this hitch for your '12 Impreza.
I have added a link to a video install of the Draw-Tite hitch as well as video reviews of the Thule T2 Pro for you to take a look at.
