How to Bleed Brake Lines with Titan Model 60 Hydraulic Brake Actuator Without Electric Lockout
Question:
How do you bleed this specific brake actuator? What size brake line fitting does this actuator take? Is it a 3/8-24 male inverted fitting?

The Dexter Brake Actuator part # 099-175-20 replaced the Titan 60 that has a master cylinder with a fitting at the end. The fitting is a 3/16 inverted flare where the brake lines connect to. You do not need an extra fitting when you use the actuator. If you ever need to replace the fitting, it is part # T4750300.
I recommend Kodiak Brake Line for Single Axle trailers part # 18SI-BLKIT. The flexible line of the Kodiak kit has a thread size of 3/8"-24 and fits a 3/16" fitting like the one of the actuator. If you have a tandem axle trailer, I recommend Kodiak kit part # 20TA-BLKIT.
Titan provides specific instructions to bleed the brakes with a Hydraulic brake actuator. Remove the master cylinder cap on the top of the Titan actuator T47154107K and fill the reservoir three quarter full with DOT-3 brake fluid. Disconnect the trailer from the tow vehicle and hook the safety chains together to form a loop. Do not disconnect the actuator breakaway cable. Place a 2x4 wooden board into the safety chain loop below the coupler. Position the board to press forward against the actuator, use the board as leverage to force the coupler into the square outer housing of the actuator. This actuate the coupler manually and forces fluid through the master cylinder. Keep pumping the actuator until the brake fluid in the master cylinder reservoir stops bubbling.
Install a bleeder hose to the bleeder valve of the wheel farthest from the the master cylinder. Use a glass bottle to contain the fluid at the other end of the hose. Watch the fluid for bubbles. Loosen the bleeder valve one turn and pump the actuator to push the fluid through the lines until the there are no longer bubbles in the fluid inside the bottle. Repeat on each wheel but make sure the actuator does not need more fluid after each wheel. I have also attached a video about bleeding the brakes.
