Does Flow Max RV Fresh Water Pump # LC689052 Prevent Back Flow

Question:

2016 Forrest River Cherokee Grey Wolf 26dbh When connected to city water, on board fresh water tank slowly fills up and overflows. In addition, when using on board water tank, pump cycles every few seconds even when no water is being used. I am pretty sure the one way flow control valves are leaking. I also believe the one way valves are integral with my pump body. I think I need to change out the pump. However, I want to be sure this replacement pump comes with similar one way flow valving. There was no description about that in the information provided. Can you help with diagnosis, my suggested solution, and more information about this pump?

Helpful Expert Reply:

The Flow Max RV Fresh Water Pump # LC689052 that you referenced does have a one-way check valve that was designed to prevent backflow contamination of fresh water. What you described does sound like a bad pump and this replacement would take care of the issue.
