Trailer Hitch for RV With Frame Width of 75 Inches for Cargo Carrier

Question:

Is it possible to use spacers between the frame and the hitch when mounting. The width of my frame is 75 inches. I was thinking of using 1 inch square steel one both sides, but not welded.

There is a trailer hitch that will fit your 75 inch wide frame but you should not use spacers to install the Adjustable Width Trailer Hitch # 13703 due to potential instability on a frame longer than its intended use.

Instead the best option is the Ultra-Fab 2" Trailer Hitch Receiver for Trailer Frames # UF35-946403 which is adjustable and welds onto I-beam, C-channel or rectangular trailer frames that are between 47-1/8" and 77" wide so it is perfect for your 75 inch frame, though it should be noted this is for accessory use and has a 350 lb tongue weight capacity if you were using something like the Stromberg Carlson Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches # CC-100.

This carrier weighs just 39 lbs to give you plenty of capacity for your gear, measures 60" long x 23" wide, and is 8" from the center of the hitch pin hole to the closest edge of the platform so there is a lot of room for clearance away from your trailer. The carrier will secure to your trailer hitch with Pin and Clip # PC3 or, for more security, Trailer Hitch Lock # e98880.

I have added a link to a video review of this cargo carrier as well as the Ultra-Fab for you to take a look at.
