How to Connect 4-Way on Jeep to 5-Way Connector on Boat Trailer

2013 jeep 4 door wiring Just bought a boat that has a 5 pin flat for a surge brake trailer - my jeep came standard with a 4 pin flat. What is the easiest way to get the wiring straight on this ?

The easiest solution to plug into the 5-Way connector on your new boat trailer is with the Tow Ready Wiring Adapter # 20036. This will simply plug right into the 4-Way already on your Jeep to provide a 5-Way at the other end to connect to the trailer.

The additional blue wire coming from the adapter just needs to be spliced into the reverse circuit wire on the Jeep in order to activate the electric lockout on the trailer. I just recommend using a circuit tester like # PTW2992 to find the correct wire behind the tail lights that gets power when shifted into reverse.
