Trailer hitches are normally relatively simple installs. The Draw Tite hitch part # 76227 that you referenced which is a confirmed fit for your 2016 Subaru Outback Wagon is more involved than most but if you have basic mechanical skills and tools it shouldn't be too bad. I attached an install video for you to check out if you are curious what the process is like and to guide you if/when you do decide to do the install yourself.
