Fit of Saris Freedom Hitch Bike Carrier in 2019 Nissan Rogue Hitch

Can I use my old existing sarius bike rack on my new suv?

Many bikes racks including the Saris Freedom # SA4412B that you referenced are smartly designed so that they can be used in either a 1-1/4-inch hitch or a 2-inch hitch. The aftermarket hitches offered for your 2019 Nissan Rogue include both sizes. These 1-1/4-inch Class II and 2-inch Class III hitches appear on the page I linked for you. You can measure the opening on the receiver tube to confirm which size you have (see photo, please).

If you do not yet have a hitch on the Rogue and you need one for your Saris rack I suggest the 2-inch model # e98846 for its combination of no-drill installation and high 525-lb tongue weight rating, which is the weight rating that matters for bike racks. This USA-made hitch bolts on with included hardware as outlined in the linked instructions and as shown in the included video. A helpful hitch installation article is provided for you as well.

Racks like the Saris include a hitch adapter that fits on the rack's shank (the part that goes into the hitch) to allow a proper fit in a 2-inch hitch. Please refer to the other linked photo that show the rack's shank and the 2-inch hitch adapter which slides over it. The adapter will not be needed if the vehicle hitch is a 1-1/4-inch size.

If the original adapter is lost we do offer a replacement as part # SA3032.
