on a 2013 Chev Avalanche black diamond, tire size P265/65/R18, do I put chains on all 4 tires?

You will not put chains on all 4 tires, but only on the rear wheels. These are Class S compatible chains for minimal clearances like your truck. They require 12 mm or 0.47 inches clearance so no contact is made with other components.
