Replacement Mounting Hardware for Older Thule Ski Rack

Question:

my older thule rack is making horrible humming/vibration noise on my 2018 highlander with factory installed crossbars. this ski rack is from 2011. short of buying a new rack what else can i do?

If you can give me the information on your Thule rack, we may have some replacement parts available. I've linked the page to your options of replacement hardware we carry. It is very likely the noise is due to an improper fit or mounting hardware issues. The # 7533998 is the fit for many of the older racks.

Another help would be to use a fairing like the Thule AirScreen XT Fairing for Roof Racks - 44" Long # TH82WV or 52 inch # TH8703. This will deflect the air up over the rack and help mitigate the turbulence underneath.
