Recommended Snow Tire Chains for 2018 Honda CR-V
Question:
Im looking for tire chains/cables for my 2018 CR-V, EX FWD. We dont live directly in the mountains, and would only need them once in a while as we travel to the mountains in the winter. Honda specifically mentioned to us at sale not to use chains with this vehicle, but cables. Is this valid? If so, what type of cable is our best bet? Obviously, they have their own recommended model to purchase. Thanks!

I took a look at the owner's manual for your 2018 Honda CR-V and it does say you need to use cables, and on the front tires only so you should definitely follow that guideline so as not to cause any unnecessary damage.
With that in mind I recommend the Titan Chain Diagonal Alloy Cable Snow Tire Chains # TC729DC because they have a diagonal cross pattern that will increase your traction and are easily installed with the included rubber tensioners.
These chains will fit tires that are size 235/60-18 or 235/65-17 on your '18 Honda CR-V and even come with a carrying case. I have added a link to a video review as well as a link to an installation of these cables for you to check out.
