Troubleshooting Huskey Brute Electric Trailer Jack That Retracts But Doesnt Extend
Question:
My Huskey Brute jack will retract but not extend. The manufacturer was no help and neither was the manual. I changed toggle switch with no luck. Any ideas other than scrap pile?

I highly doubt that the jack itself is the issue. Typically when a trailer jack has trouble extending but not retracting that is due to a bad ground connection or a depleted battery, with the battery being the more common of the two. Gravity helps when lowering the jack so the battery isn't having to put out much power whereas raising the trailer tongue relies solely on power from the battery.
Start off by checking your ground connection and making sure that it is securely connected to a clean, bare-metal surface. The jack grounds through the trailer frame so check where it is making physical contact with the trailer.
If that looks good then the next thing is to test your battery.
Let me know if you are still having issues and I can help you troubleshoot further.
If you choose to go with the scrap pile, I suggest the Stromberg Carlson Electric Trailer Jack - Drop Leg - A-Frame - 23" Lift - 5,000 lbs - Black, Item # JET-5000 as a replacement.
