Best Trailer Hitch for 2018 Subaru Outback to Use with Bike Rack

Question:

Geetings! I have a 2018 Subaru Outback wagon and a 2 inch bike rack I'd like to use with the new vehicle. Just needing the hitch......which would be the best one for this vehicle? Really appreciate any insight you can give. Thank you!

Expert Reply:

The best trailer hitch for your 2018 Subaru Outback Wagon to use with your existing 2 inch bike rack is the Draw-Tite Class III # 76227. This is because it pairs strength (600 pound tongue weight rating is highest available for the Outback) with aesthetics since its design only allows the 2 inch receiver to be visible behind the vehicle (see attached image). This hidden crosstube design provides a really clean look but the receiver isn't tucked too far back behind the bumper to make fitment with any accessories like your bike rack an issue.

This hitch will work perfectly with your bike rack while also maintaining the factory look of your brand new Subaru Outback Wagon.

I have attached an installation video that you can also check out.
