Hitch, Wiring Harness and Towing Mirrors for 2019 Subaru Outback Wagon
Question:
We ordered our 2019 Outback without a hitch and wiring since we know from experience with our last Subaru Outback that etrailer products costs a lot less and work great. So we need a hitch and wiring for our tiny teardrop. No brakes. Maybe some towing mirrors too since one of out old ones fell off. We still have the ball mount.

Thank you for coming back to etrailer for a hitch and wiring for your new Subaru Outback Wagon!
The hitch I recommend for your new Outback is our own USA-made 2-inch model # e98847. I like this option for its value and easier installation. The hitch you referenced in your question, EcoHitch # 306-X7601, costs more and will be much tougher to install. Unless you're really concerned about the hitch being well hidden I would stick with the etrailer hitch. It also has a much higher weight capacity than the EcoHitch.
I have linked the written instructions, a helpful article and a video to guide you through the process of bolting this hitch on to your Outback.
For a 4-pole trailer wiring harness I suggest the Tekonsha kit # 118467 which is a simple plug-in installation as shown in the other video. For some universal clip-on towing mirrors I like the K-Source set # KS3990 because these tend to stay better secured on the factory mirrors.
