The correct measurement for installing the Reese Universal 5th Wheel Installation Kit # RP30035 will be 29-1/4 inches from the rear of the truck bed to the very back of the rear rail. This measurement will make it so that the King Pin center will be 1-1/2 inches forward of the axle center. To make sure the fifth wheel will be centered from side to side you will need to measure between the fender wells so that the distance between the edge of the rails and the fender wells will be of equal distance. I attached installation instructions for this product for you to check out also.
I attached an installation video that shows this product being installed onto a very similar vehicle as yours for you to check out also.
