Best Snow Tire Chains for 2018 Chrysler Pacifica

Question:

Looking for a pair of tire chains for my 2018 Chrysler Pacifica. I live in the SF Bay Area and will be driving on Interstate 80 to and from Lake Tahoe for skiing. Guarding against damage is most important see below, the maximum projection of 9 mm has me worried. Ease of installing and removing is next. Heres what the owners manual says: Use of traction devices require sufficient tire-to-body clearance. Follow these recommendations to guard against damage: • Traction device must be of proper size for the tire, as recommended by the traction device manufacturer. • Install on front tires only. • For a 235/65R17 tire, use of a snow traction device with a maximum projection of 9 mm beyond the tire profile is recommended.

There are snow tire chains that will work for your 2018 Chrysler Pacifica, though you never did mention the size of your tires. Assuming you have either 235/60-18 OR 235/65-17 I recommend the Titan Chain Alloy Snow Tire Chains # TC2319 because they are a diamond pattern that will give you the best traction in snow as well as grip on ice if your Pacifica encounters it.

The Titan # TC2319 are Class S compatible chains, which means that they will fit so long as your Pacifica has a minimum of 1.46" (37 mm) between the top of the tire tread and the wheel well and at least 0.59" (15 mm) between the tire's sidewall and the Chrysler Pacifica itself.

These tire chains have a link that is just 3.7mm thick and come with integrated tensioners to make installing them easier. Please keep in mind that these chains - like all snow tire chains - require you go no faster than 30 mph.

I have added a link to a video review of these tire chains on a 2018 Chrysler Pacifica as well as a photo showing how they look when installed on a '18 Pacifica.
