Are Snow Tire Chains Needed on All Four Tires of 2001 Toyota Tacoma 4x4
Question:
2001 Toyota Tacoma - Do I need chairs on all 4 wheels on 4 wheel drive?

I took a look at the owner's manual of your 2001 Toyota Tacoma and it states:
"Install the chains on the rear tires as tightly as possible. Do not use tire chains on the front tires."
The tire chains I recommend are steel with a ladder pattern because these are going to give you exceptional traction and stopping power on both snow and ice. The correct snow tire chains are going to depend on the tire size of your '01 Tacoma:
- 205/75-15 tires: Titan Chain Twist Link Snow Tire Chains # TC1138
- 225/75-15 tires: Titan Chain Alloy Snow Tire Chains with Cam Tighteners # TC2216SCAM
- 235/55-16 tires: Glacier Alloy Square-Link Snow Tire Chains # TC1138
It is also recommended you use Rubber Adjusters # PW105 to make putting on the Titan # TC2216SCAM or Glacier # PWPLC1138 an easier process.
I have added a photo showing the Glacier Alloy chains on a 2001 Tacoma for you to check out, as well as links to video reviews of these and the Titan chains.
