Weight Distribution and Transmission Cooler Recommendation for 2007 Mercury Mountaineer

Question:

I have a1975 Pathfinder 19 foot travel trailer. On the scale the tongue weight was 550 while the tandem axle weight was 3500. Will my Mountaineer be okay pulling this if I add the class 3 hitch, with this WDH, and a ATF cooler? Thanks

You'd want to check with a Ford dealer. I wasn't able to get a specific towing capacity for your vehicle but it looks like the capacity range is between 3,500 and 6,930 lbs. If your capacity is good with the weight of your trailer the weight distribution system you'd want is the Pro Series part # PS49582 which has a tongue weight range of 550 to 750 like what your trailer has.

Then for a transmission cooler you'd want the # D13503 with the fitting adapter part # D13025. This is a very efficient cooler that will install easily with the adapter I mentioned.
