Hey Eugene, the LMX RED grease like part #L11390 is the best option. It's the most heavy duty, waterproof, and is compatible with basically all greases. I would be cautious not to over fill the hub though as it's pretty easy to blow out seals…

The correct hub and drum assembly replacement for your Lippert 4,400 lb axle is the #8-407-5UC3-EZ. This comes with bearings and a grease seal. If you need brakes as well you can use the #LC66WD, or for self-adjusting brakes #K23-478-479.

I called my contact at Dexter about the 10 inch Nev-R-Adjust brakes like part #23-468. They told me when you are installing the brake assemblies to the brake mounting flange, the torque should be between 45 and 50 ft lbs.

Thanks for the picture of the dust cap of your trailer hub. From that I can tell you have grease hubs and an EZ lube spindle. The LMX Red grease like part #L11390 is considered the highest quality and most durable so we recommend it the highest.

I would say to be safe you may as well remove the grease and replace it. Red grease like the part #L11390 is the heaviest duty grease we offer for trailer hubs so it is what we recommend. It's also waterproof too.
