How to Install 7-Way Plug Wiring Correctly on a 1975 Toyota Land Cruiser
Question:
Jon, thank you for your reply! Apparently, I also need a 5 wire to 4 wire converter - which I have found as the Toyota has separate bulbs/whites for the brake light and turn signal light. Again, thank you!

Thank you for the pictures!
A common misconception is that there is a specific wire color for each specific function. Although there are "typical" wire colors, nothing is set in stone so your best bet is to test for function.
Using a circuit tester like part # PTW2979 or a multimeter like part # PTW1714 test each of your wires on your 1975 Toyota Land Cruiser by running through your lighting functions. Once you know what circuit each wire is connected to, use the picture of the 7-Way connector (vehicle end) that I linked to make the pro[per connections. Be sure that your plug is oriented correctly. If the color wire does not match what your plug says then disregard the plug and go with the picture that I attached.
I think the confusion is from the 7-Way round trailer connector in the picture that you attached. If you check out the picture that I linked of a 7-Way blade trailer connector you can see that the functions will match up with the 7-Way on your Land Cruiser.
If you have any problems please let me know and I can assist you further.
