How to Lift a LOOK Trailer with Torsion Axles

Question:

I have a LOOK trailer with the wheel well inside the trailer box out with metal. I would like to put a wheel with more side belts but have found that it is a little taller and would scrape the well. I would like to raise the trailer 1-2 inches to allow more room. I also have electrical brakes.

Do you happen to know the brand of torsion axle that is on your trailer? If not then you can either call the manufacturer with your VIN or crawl under it and look for a tag on the center of the axle. If it is a Dexter Torflex Axle then we have exactly what you need to lift the trailer but if not then you would need to do a bit of measuring in order to determine compatibility.

If you have a Dexter Torflex Axle then you can use one of the following based on your axle capacity. If you do not have a Dexter Torflex Axle then you will need to measure from the center of the two mounting holes on your trailer axle.

2,000 lb Torflex #9 or 7-3/4" Center to Center part # K71-723-01
2,300 to 4,000 lb Torflex #10 or 8" Center to Center part # K71-707-01
4,100 to 6,000 lb Torflex #11 or 9" Center to Center part # K71-724-02
5,500 to 7,000 lbs Torflex #12 or 9" Center to Center part # K71-725-02

Please note that lift kits cannot be used with Torflex axles that have a 3" high profile brackets.
