Recommended RV Trailer Hitch for 2014 Dutchman 5th Wheel to Tow Jet Ski
Question:
Hello, I just bought a 2018 Kaw. 310 R jet Ski can I pull it with my 2014 Dutchman 38’ 5th wheel? I live in Nevada. What type of hitch?

As long as your Jet Ski trailer is within the towing capacity of your truck when the 5th wheel is attached and loaded and it is within the capacity of the RV trailer hitch, you will be able to tow it behind your 5th wheel trailer. You will want to check with the state laws for double towing to make sure you are following all the state specific rules.
My recommendation is to use the Curt Adjustable Trailer Hitch Receiver - 18"-51" Wide - 2" Drop - Class III - 2" # C13701. This hitch is rated for 5,000 lbs towing capacity and 500 lbs tongue weight maximum. This hitch can be bolted or welded in place on box frame, c-channel frame, or I-beam frames.
For an easier mount, you can use the Curt RV Bumper 2" Trailer Hitch Receiver # E-100 which fits 4" square bumpers as long as that bumper is rated for your towing capacity. If so, this hitch is rated to tow 3,500 lbs with up to 350 lbs tongue weight.
Then you can use a ball mount like the etrailer.com Ball Mount Kit for 2" Hitches - 7,500 lbs # 989900 to best fit your trailer. For wiring, you can use the 4-Pole Hardwire Kit with Circuit Tester # 18252 and Mounting Bracket 4-Pole Flat # 18144.
