Troubleshooting Brake Controller Showing No Connection When Attached to Horse Trailer

Question:

I have a delta stock trailer with brakes that has 5 wires on a 7 pin connector colors are white red green black and yellow. My brake booster will not kick on only reads no connection and the right rear brake light has no signal lamp. I checked the wiring of the 5 wires that go into the 7 way but can’t seem to get everything working at the same time.

First thing to try is cleaning the pins on the 7-way connectors. Typically a bit of corrosion will cause the circuits to not function or a brake controller to show "NO CONNECTION" like you listed. I'd try that first and if that does not work you can try rewiring the 7-way using the picture I attached as a guide.
