Recommended Bike Lock to Further Secure Thule T1 Bike Rack to Vehicle
Question:
I have a pontic vibe GT 2009 with a 11/4 hitch. Is the lock that locks the bike hitch to the car,so that it cant be stolen really good? I am planning to buy the T1 bike rack very soon. I would be absolutely heart broken if someone stole this off my car. Just wondering if there is any way somehow to double lock it? Maybe a dumb question but just would like it to be really secure.

The Thule T1 1-Bike Platform Rack is an excellent bike rack and comes with the hitch lock # THSTL2 which has an anti-rattle bolt and then the lock on the back of the pin. The bike rack also comes with the optional core position for the ratchet and the integrated cable lock for the bike.
For more security, you can use the Thule Cable Lock w/ One Key System Lock - 6' Long # TH538XT to run through the safety chain loops of your hitch and then around your bike or the rack itself. If you want all the locks keyed alike you can use # TH450400.
