Receiver Location for a CURT Trailer Hitch on a 2010 Infiniti G37
Question:
I am curious as to how this is mounted on my Infiniti G37. Im also concern about where it touches the car since it could damage the paint job. Any information is much appreciated to let me know if this will work for me. In addition, can you explain what is meant by this notice: Note: All non-trailer loads - bike racks, cargo carriers and so forth - should be supported with stabilizing straps. Failure to properly support these loads will void your hitch warranty from Curt. Thx

I have included a link to the installation instructions for the CURT Trailer Hitch, # 11499, for your 2010 Infiniti G37. The hitch touching the vehicle is not really an issue because you will actually have to trim some of the rear fascia to allow the hitch to fit as noted in the instructions.
The warning you are referring to for non-trailer loads is only on certain CURT hitches. More specifically, it is referring to all CURT Class I, Class II, and some Class III trailer hitches. This is a requirement from CURT Manufacturing to be in compliance with their warranty requirements. The strap in question is # 18050.
The idea is that the strap relieves some of the stress on the hitch associated with non-trailer loads to prevent any damage to the hitch. Out of the manufacturers we carry, CURT is the only one that has this requirement.
